You Are A New Creation
Bishop Mike Okonkwo
(2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV)
One of the things I have discovered over the years is that not many people truly understand what the bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:17. If any man be in Christ, old things have passed away and all things have become new. Not many people receive the insight and the revelation in that scripture. For if you truly understand it, there will be no more struggles in your life. If you truly have full grasp of it, there will be no more anxiety and there will be no more worry. You will just discover that things will be working for you because of your understanding of who you are.
You see, the new creation, is not a Gentile. The new creation is not a Jew. He is a totally new creation! A new specie of being that has never existed before. These are people who are authorised by God. As believers, we have been authorised by reason of the everlasting covenant. We have access into the very presence of God. The bible says: “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help at the time of need.” (Hebrew 4:16 KJV)
The new creation is the only one that is authorized to live here on earth and yet access heaven. We have power! The church has not truly understood the power she wields and so we are just going without. We are going about like people who are beaten, and conquered by the enemy. But let me tell you: in Christ, you already have the victory. Stop for a moment and think of your position in Christ: Do you realise that you are not WITH, or BY Christ? You are IN Christ. What that means is that you have lost your old identity and you have put on the identity of Christ, so when you speak, the devil hears Christ speaking and guess what? he must obey. You are not in yourself. So stop seeing yourself in yourself. Be rest assured that your victory is guaranteed in Christ.
