Ability Will Fail
Pastor W.F kumuyi
"Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain"(Psalms 127:1).
From the Bible days to our contemporary times, we have read and witnessed the demise of self-styled dictators who once intimidated and terrorized nations and even the whole world. We have watched human race disappointed by their own inventions and technology, military and economic might, beauty and global fame, knowledge and wisdom in all spheres of life. All these confirm that the eternal truth "“ "And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof" (1John 2:17).
As you watch your television, you can see how many seemingly impregnable buildings of wonderful aesthetic beauty are demolished by bombs, fire, earthquakes and storms. So many great athletes, boxers, musicians, war veterans and ace footballers, as many of them went from strength to weakness, from prosperity to poverty and from fame to shame. Wise-hearted people would rather seek a firm foundation on that eternal Rock of Salvation whose name is Jesus Christ, than like Nebuchadnezzar, trust in their abilities, carnal possessions and accomplishments. Trust in the Almighty God in everything.
Challenge: God will faithfully and perpetually sustain those that trust in Him.
Prayer: Lord, to shun the vanity of this life and depend on you in Jesus name.
Quote: Trust in the Almighty God in everything
