Keep Doing Good
Pastor W.F Kumuyi
Some people stop doing good because their acts of kindness are not appreciated. Others stop because they have been cheated or defrauded through doing good. But continue doing good without regrets. John Wesley wrote: Do all the good you can, By all the means you can, In all the ways you can, In all the places you can, At all the times you can, To all the people you can, As long as ever you can. The wise-hearted believer would rather declare like Job, "My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go" (Job 27:6). If God has enjoined us to persist in "well doing" and even promised some rewards, then there could be no better alternative! Let us heed this divine counsel and be sure to reap the attendant benefits both in time and in eternity.
Challenge: Goodness is a godly attribute which we must acquire and retain for life.
Prayer: Keep me, LORD, in well doing, in Jesus' name.
Quote: Continue doing good without regrets
